Blessed Bonds - A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter (Naperville, IL) Our program provides short-term foster homes for pets whose owners are in a crisis situation. Many of the pet owners we provide assistance to are facing illness, hospitalization, rehab, domestic violence, foreclosure, eviction, and many other difficult circumstances.
Carver County Mental Health's Short Term Fostering Program (Carver County, MN) Carver County Mental Health is collaborating with the Carver-Scott County Sheriff's Office to provide short term animal fostering for clients that are hospitalized for mental health reasons. This is a voluntary program and is utilized when there is no family or friends that are willing or able to care for the client’s pets. We are looking for volunteers to provide short term animal fostering (2 weeks).
Humane Society at Lollypop Farm - Senior Citizen Pet Assistance Program (Fairport, NY) Provides financial assistance to seniors on fixed incomes who wish to continue living at home with a pet who is often their sole companion. Humane Society of Central Arizona - Humanitarian Hold Program Provides short-term care for companion animals of at risk individuals/families, elderly, disabled, and children who must leave their home temporarily due to hospitalizations, rehabilitation, domestic violence, homelessness or other life altering circumstances.
Pet Guardians (Lancaster County, PA) A small group of volunteers devoted to assisting older adults who can no longer care for their pets due to illness or decline in physical health. In some cases, volunteers may take the pets to visit with their owners while they are in the hospital. Foster families provide temporary shelter until permanent placement.
PetPALS of Southern New Jersey, Inc. (Bellmawr, NJ) PetPALS recognizes the importance of pets in the lives of many individuals, especially those faced with a serious illness. We strive to ensure animal companionship for as long as practically possible. Services offered to clients include home petcare and exercise, provision of pet supplies and food, free or subsidized veterinary care, short-term foster care, and permanent adoption. We further seek to educate the public about the benefits of animal companionship and responsible pet guardianship.

We are now serving over 1,000 companion animals of 800 clients who depend on us to provide pet food, vet care, dog walking, transportation, foster care, grooming, education and case management.
